Tre-flip
A "tre-flip" is a mix between a "shove-it" and a "kickflip". A "shove-it" is when the board turns 180 degrees. However, in a "tre-flip" the board turns 360 degrees with a "kickflip" that spins in a barrel roll formation the same way as the 360 "shove-it". As you pop your board you scoop your back foot towards your back and slide your front foot up in the same motion as you would with a kickflip but you also kick your board infront of you to an extent. Make sure you watch your board the whole time. To check your footing and make sure it flips the right way.
The Kickflip
A kick flip is like an ollie. The difference is only that when you position your feet your front foot is of to the outside of the skate board. As you pop the board you slide your front foot off the side and up towards the front of the board. when your foot comes off it should be at about the front cup between the straight part of the board and the tip. The board should do a full 360 barrel roll. you should almost land back on the board as it is in the air. make sure you watch your board though so you can tell wether or not its safe to land on.

BIg Sky Montana Ski Resort
Today i will be talking about my journey to Big Sky Montana. When i was about 12 years of age i went with my cousin my sister and my uncle to Montana. It seemed like the trip took for ever, until i woke up and we were running from the cops..no lie. We were speeding, going 85 in a 65 and they saw us. We were about 3 miles from the county line and we gunned it. My uncle is a sherrif by the way.Thats the crazy part. We ended up escaping them pretty quick. We ended up getting there at about 12:00 that morning, we didnt sleep. We headed to the ski resort at about 6:00 a.m. and snow-boarded all day.
Their longest run they have is eighteen miles long, and I got shoved off of a cliff by a skier. The cliff was only about a ten foot drop with 5 feet of pure powder at the bottom. The bad thing is that i had to pee, really bad, but I was stuck. i had left my back pack in the pickup, which had my walkie talkie in it. So, there i was, bladder full, bindings stuck, in 5 feet of snow, no one to help me. I dug my way down to my bindings. Pee'd on the nearest tree, got yelled at by an old lady, and found my family. Besides all the bad stuff that happened, it was great. I definatley recommend Big Sky as a place to go boarding.

X Games
The X games took place this weekend and of course Shaun White won with a gold medal. Shaun white got first place in the Straight Super pipe. Shaun White has won this Gold medal 5 years in a row including the medal he just got this year in the 2012 X Games. Shaun White won the competition with a bum ankle. on his first run he got a score of 94. This score set him pin first place above every body else by a long shot. this means he wouldn't have even had to compete in the next two runs. anyway, he competed in the next two and on his second run he got a perfect score of 100. Which is very rarely done in the snowboarding section of the x games.
Other bloggers say that he had taken first place while capping the X Games history. To be honest i don't really like Shaun White. He is good and all but he try's to be good at everything. He doesn't even give other people a chance.

Equipment
In order for you to completely be safe for the sport of snowboarding you need the proper equipment. for instance with out could proper snowboarding boots you could roll or break your ankle. Without proper goggles you could get an injury to your eye.A lot of people don't wear goggles but i prefer to because if i don't my eyes get all watery and its hard to see. It's a very good idea to wear gloves when you are on the mountain, you never know when you may have to stop and fix your bindings. When it comes to bindings it is very important to get a style that shape to your boots. There are basically two different types of bindings such as clicker bindings and strap bindings.
For different types of snowboards there are so many you have no idea. You can get snowboards from lengths of 40 mm to 300mm. In order to find the right height of your snowboard, or which ever matches you best is to stand your board up vertically resting it on the floor and then, stand up next to your board facing it and if the top of your board is between the tip of your nose and your chin you're good to go.

Season Pass Costs
I figured its probably time to start blogging now. There isnt much going on in the snowboarding world of today..the weather has kind of failed me on my blogging posts. It's snowed about three times all winter. All of which havent been very much snow. The temperature hasnt been too bad but the amount of snow has been terrible. I havent gone up to the mountains yet this season, but mark my words..i will. A Season Pass at Terry Peak costs $560.00 plus tax while at Mystic Minor (Deer Mountain) a season pass costs $418.00 if you are 18 or older and $270.00 for teens. personally i like Deer Mountain more. Not only because its cheeper but because its not as crowded and hectic. Everything is more relaxed.
